Beach More, Worry Less

I am so lucky to live so close to the beach, not just a beach, a blue flag beach!

I love strolling around, paddling in the cold water, climbing rocks and exploring rock pools. There is endless fun at the beach, people of all ages enjoy the beach, before we moved down here we used to come down on weekends, if it was sunny we spent all day at the beach, taking a lovely picnic, tent and deck chairs for our parents and grandparents.

Me and my sister would spend ages trying to rearrange the flow of the natural rivers to the sea, or flood the moat of a hideous sand castle and spend hours in the sea, jumping waves or playing on body boards.

Now the beach has become a part of our everyday world, it just happens to be the view from work. The sound of waves crashing, seagulls calling and people laughing is enough to entice anyone to the beach and I completely get the excitement, there is so much going on at the beach, people playing, dogs swimming and birds pooping on their targets.

The smell of the salt air, delicious barbecues and fish and chips takes me back to my childhood, travelling down on a Friday night to enjoy fish and chips (corned beef pasty and chips for me) laughing with my family on a bench overlooking the harbour.

What do you love most about the beach?
