Summer 2017: Camp America

My summer has been full of amazing memories, there wasn’t a day where a smile wasn’t on my face, I have met some of the most amazing people from all over the globe 🌎 people I will forever call a friend!

I have learnt a lot about myself this summer, my ability to cope under stress, my ability to connect and teach children has definitely strengthened.

Being at camp means engaging with children, getting to know them, keeping them entertained and safe. Being at a horse riding camp meant safety was paramount, although you get sick of hearing your own voice trying to keep everyone safe!

Other than the people at camp I loved the ponies very much!

It’s so surprising how much you begin to love and care about each animal, these were my babies for the entire summer, they are all cheeky and mischievous! But I love them! I cried when I said goodbye to these beautiful ponies, I would definitely have brought them home with me.

Camp is such a rewarding experience, after having campers for a week or two seeing them leave is harder than you would think, you see them grow, whether it be in your lessons or just making new friends.

There will be more posts about my summer in America soon, I am sorry for the lack of posts for the past two months, but it was very important for me to live in the moment and embrace the whole experience.
